Since 2010 Georg-Elias-Müller-Institut für Psychologie offers four programs of qualification.
Bachelor of Science
This three-year (6 semester) full time program offers you a basic qualification as professional psychologist. Courses cover all main areas of Psychology. Basic methodological and statistical knowledge as well as basic scientific skills are also part of this program. This program is offered in German only.

Master of Science
This program is research centered. It offers a broad range of possibilities with regard to your scientific interests. You need a a bachelor in Psychology or a similar area to enter. It is a 2 year program (4 semester). All the prerequisites for a future psychotherapeutic qualification can be acquired. You may also continue with a PhD program. The Master program is offered mainly in German language.

Psychological Psychotherapist
Due to the German laws for psychotherapy we offer a program to become psychological psychotherapist with approbation i. e. the possibility to work as psychotherapist in the German health system. It is a 3-year full time program that includes practical work. This qualification aims a German professional carreer and is offered in German only.

PhD
There are a lot of posibilites to enter in a PhD program in various research areas. This includes the Psychology-department as well as a broad range of other research-groups all over Göttingen. You may contact the responsible researchers of interest directly.
Formally the program is offered by the Georg-August University School of Science (GAUSS)
