Vivien Outters

Vivien studied at the University of Potsdam and the Panepistimo Patra general linguistics. During this time she was a student assistant working on semantic processing with Prof. Isabell Wartenburger and Romy Räling. From 2014 she studied cognitive science at the University in Osnabrück. 2015 Vivien completed her Master of Science at the Université libre de Bruxelles examining visual word processing.

Since January 2016, Vivien is a member of the research training group 2070 ‘understanding social relationships’ and a PhD student at the free floater research group Language Acquisition. Her main research interests include examining social factors influencing language acquisition. Mainly focusing on adult-directed speech compared to infant-directed speech. Furthermore Vivien is interested in individual differences between children and which factors are influencing these differences, regarding language acquisition.
