Ronja Katharina Demel

Ronja studied Psychology (B.Sc.) at the Otto-Von-Guericke University Magdeburg. In 2017 she graduated in Psychology (M.Sc.) from the Georg-August University Göttingen. In her Master’s Thesis she investigated the relationship of morality and emotion as well as the influence of political attitude on moral judgments on a neurocognitive level.

In October 2017 she started as a research fellow and PhD student in the program behavior and cognition at the department of Affective Neuroscience and Psychophysiology. In her doctoral thesis, she continues with the research topic of her Master’s thesis. Additional interests are the influence of empathy on morality, as well as the influence of fake news in comparison to factual media reports on moral judgments.

Ronja Demel is an associated member of the Research Training Group 2070 Understanding Social Relationships by the German Research Foundation, a member of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Primate Cognition and scholar of the Foundation of German Economy.
