Sia Ming Yean

Sia Ming Yean earned her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2015 from the University of Nottingham in Malaysia. In an internship in the summer of 2014, she investigated the specifics of expression in bilingualism. After graduation, Sia worked as a research assistant at the University of Nottingham on word learning. In 2019, she successfully defended her PhD thesis and obtained a PhD in Psychology. She presented her work at international conferences in Japan and Malaysia.

Sia is interested in different strategies of word learning in children, as well as differences between bilingual children and adults growing up differently. Since 2020, Sia has been a research assistant in Wortschatzinsel.
