About the TBZ

The Therapie und Beratungszentrum (TBZ) teaches its students in the tradition of the clinical psychology of the Georg-Elias-Müller-Institute of Psychology and was founded in 1949 by Mrs. Prof. E. Duhm.

With the new German Psychotherapy Act from 1999 the legal conditions changed so that child and youth-psychotherapists as well as psychological psychotherapists could treat legally health insured patients after the acquisition of the approbation and the certificate of specialized knowledge. Before that background the Therapie- und Beratungszentrum was established.
