Research

The Department of Educational Psychology investigates the behavior and experience of people in teaching and learning environments. A particular focus of our work is the question of how children and adults read, what problems they have and how we can help them to cope with these problems. We use a wide range of methods from cognitive psychology (eye tracking, EEG), linguistics (corpus analysis, modeling) and educational psychology (longitudinal studies, field studies). Our goal is to provide knowledge that is theoretically sound and relevant to practice at the same time.
