In Flip we try to find out if and how mirror confusions influence the reading process in adults. For this purpose, we examine how different types of mirror fonts influence the recognition of letters, words and their impact on eye-movements during sentence reading. ReadMe

In ReadMe, we ask: how do readers process texts, how is this influenced by linguistic difficulties and reading goals? Do readers differ in which factors are more important than others, and how can practitioners effectively support reading comprehension across different readers? To answer these questions, we study the reading processing and comprehension of adult and child readers, both in their first language German and in English as a foreign language. Reading processing is tested using eye-tracking methodology, and reading comprehension is tapped through comprehension questions. More information...

Morph.B.

In our research project Morph.B., we focus on morphological awareness, i.e. the ability to recognize, reflect on and change parts of complex words (e.g. rabbit+s) in a language. We want to find out under which circumstances different facets of morphological awareness are related to reading and spelling competencies. Learn more...
