Wiebke Hammerschmidt

Wiebke Hammerschmidt studied Psychology (B.Sc.) at the University of Muenster. 2014 she graduated (M.Sc.) in Psychology at the University of Goettingen. In her Master's thesis she investigated effects of emotional meaning in written and synthesized spoken word processing.

In December 2014 she started as a research fellow at the Junior Research Group "Experimental Psycholinguistics" and since October 2016 she is a research fellow at the department of "Affective Neuroscience and Psychophysiology" at the University of Göttingen.

In her doctoral thesis she focuses on the dissociation of biological and associated salience in human faces.

She is an associated member of the Research Training Group 2070 "Understanding Social Relationships" by the German Research Foundation and member of the Leibniz ScienceCampus "Primate Cognition".
