Esther Semmelhack

Esther studied Biology (B.Sc.) and Developmental, Neural and Behavioral Biology (M.Sc.) at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen. In her Master's thesis, she investigated the effect of associative learning of neutral letter strings and fonts on recognition memory.

During her Master's studies, she was employed as a research assistant in the Department of Affective Neuroscience and Psychophysiology. In March 2023, she started her PhD there. The goal of her PhD project is to find parameters for cognitive, motivational, and emotional states to predict human performance in a dynamic human-robot interaction.

Research interests:

  • Identifying reliable predictors of attention, arousal, alertness, and their interactions.
