Rebecca Jürgens

Coordination research center Human Cognition and Behavior

Rebecca studied biology at the University of Göttingen, where she received her PhD in 2014. For her dissertation on vocal expressions of emotion, she conducted research at the German Primate Center with Prof. Dr. Julia Fischer and at the University of Göttingen with Prof. Dr. Annekathrin Schacht. She then moved to Science Management and coordinated the Research Training Group 2070 Understanding Social Relationships and the PhD program Behavior and Cognition. From 2019 to 2021, she worked as manager of the Göttingen Campus Institute Dynamics of Biological Networks and coordinated the priority program Evolutionary Optimization of Neural Processing. After a stay at the University of Kassel as a Research Funding Officer, Rebecca is now responsible for coordinating the new Research Center Human Cognition and Behavior.
