Am Georg-Elias-Müller-Institut für Psychologie der Fakultät für Biologie und Psychologie sind frühestens zum 01.04.2022 vier neue Professuren zu besetzen. Das Institut hat eine starke naturwissenschaftliche Ausrichtung, mit einem Fokus auf der Untersuchung von Kognition und Verhalten des Menschen. Dies spiegelt sich in der umfangreichen Beteiligung an institutsübergreifenden Forschungsverbünden wie dem Leibniz-WissenschaftsCampus Primatenkognition, dem Promotionsstudiengang „Behavior and Cognition“ und unserer Zusammenarbeit mit Partnern des Göttingen Campus wie der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen und dem Deutschen Primatenzentrum wider.
In der Forschung sollten die Bewerber\*innen durch exzellente internationale Publikationen in den jeweiligen Bereichen (genaue Details unten) sowie durch die Einwerbung einschlägiger kompetitiver Drittmittel ausgewiesen sein. Das Forschungsprofil sollte anschlussfähig sein an das überwiegend experimentelle, kognitionspsychologisch orientierte Profil des Instituts für Psychologie. Die vier Professuren werden in den folgenden Bereichen angeboten:
## 1. W2-Professur „Kognitive Modellierung“ Angestrebt wird die Besetzung mit einer Psychologin bzw. einem Psychologen, der/die ein international sichtbares Forschungsprofil im Bereich der Kognitiven Modellierung und Methodenforschung aufweist. Gleichzeitig ist die Professur an das Campus-Institut Data Science (CIDAS) angebunden. In der Lehre vertritt die Professur die Bereiche/Fächer Kognitive Modellierung und Methodenforschung und ist für die methodische Ausbildung der Studierenden im Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang Psychologie verantwortlich. ## 2. W2-Professur „Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie“ Angestrebt wird die Besetzung mit einer Psychologin bzw. einem Psychologen, der/die ein international sichtbares Forschungsprofil im Bereich der Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie aufweist. In der Forschung sollen auch experimentelle Ansätze verfolgt werden. In der Lehre vertritt die Professur das Fach in seiner ganzen Breite im Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang Psychologie sowie im Lehrexport, der vorrangig in Studiengänge der Sozialwissenschaftlichen und der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät stattfindet. Angestrebt wird, dass die Inhaberin/der Inhaber der Professur über eine Zweitmitgliedschaft auch in diesen beiden Fakultäten verankert ist. ## 3. W2-Professur mit W3-Tenure „Experimentelle Psychopathologie“ Besonders wünschenswert wäre ein Forschungsschwerpunkt im Bereich der Depressionsforschung. Bewerber\*innen mit einem anderen Forschungsprofil, die eine gute Passung zu den Forschungsschwerpunkten des GEMI nachweisen können, sind ebenfalls zur Bewerbung aufgefordert. Einstellungsvoraussetzungen sind: Habilitation oder äquivalente Qualifikation in Forschung und Lehre. Für die Professur "Experimentelle Psychopathologie" und die Professur "Psychotherapieforschung" sind weitere Einstellungsvoraussetzungen: Approbation als Psychologische Psychotherapeutin/ Psychologischer Psychotherapeut mit Fachkunde in einem wissenschaftlich geprüften und anerkannten psychotherapeutischen Verfahren oder eine sehr weit fortgeschrittene Psychotherapieausbildung. Von Bewerber/-innen aus dem Ausland wird erwartet, dass sie spätestens bis September 2024 eine Approbation erlangen, indem sie gem. § 11 bzw. § 12 des Gesetzes zur Reform der Psychotherapeutenausbildung die Gleichwertigkeit ihrer Berufsqualifikation nachweisen oder diese durch einen entsprechenden Anpassungslehrgang oder eine Eignungsprüfung herbeiführen. The Institute has a strong cognitive, natural science orientation, with a focus on the study of human cognition and behaviour. This is reflected in collaborative initiatives such as the Leibniz ScienceCampus “Primate Cognition”, the joint PhD program “Behaviour and Cognition” together with Göttingen Campus Institutes such as the University Medical Center Göttingen and the German Primate Center. Applicants should demonstrate an excellent international publication record in the respective fields (details below) as well as through the successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding. ## 2. Professorship (W2 salary level, tenured) in “Work and Organisational Psychology” We aim to recruit a psychologist with an internationally visible research profile in the field of Work and Organisation Psychology, with an experimental focus. The Professorship is responsible for teaching modules on Work and Organisation Psychology in the Bachelor and Master programs in Psychology, as well as for teaching in the Social Science and Economics faculties. We will also aim to anchor the Professorship with a secondary membership in these two faculties. The candidates’ research profile should also include experimental approaches to work and organizational psychology. Professorship (W2 salary level, with tenure W3) in “Experimental Psychopathology” A research focus on depression is particularly desirable although candidates with other research foci related to the research profile of the Institute are also invited to apply. The professorship, together with two other clinical psychology professorships at the Institute, will be responsible for teaching Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy in its entire breadth in the Bachelor program in Psychology and in the future Master program in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. The professorship, together with two other clinical psychology professorships at the Institute, will be responsible for teaching Clinical psychology and Psychotherapy in its entire breadth in the Bachelor program in psychology and in the future Master program in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree and have an outstanding teaching and grant record as well as a Habilitation or equivalent qualification. The ability to teach in German is also a prerequisite. Applicants for the professorship in "Experimental Psychopathology" and the professorship in "Psychotherapy Research" must be licensed as psychotherapist or very advanced in their clinical training (in a psychotherapy approach that is approved in Germany). It is expected that applicants who are not yet licensed as psychotherapists must complete all requirements to obtain their license by September 2024 at the latest. Appointments will be made by the university according to the laws of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz Nds. GVBl. 5/2007, page 69). Professorship (W2 salary level, tenured) in “Cognitive Modelling” We aim to recruit a psychologist with an internationally visible research profile in the field of cognitive modelling and psychological methods. ## 2. Professorship (W2 salary level, tenured) in “Work and Organisational Psychology” We aim to recruit a psychologist with an internationally visible research profile in the field of Work and Organisation Psychology, with an experimental focus. The Professorship is responsible for teaching modules on Work and Organisation Psychology in the Bachelor and Master programs in Psychology, as well as for teaching in the Social Science and Economics faculties. We will also aim to anchor the Professorship with a secondary membership in these two faculties. The candidates’ research profile should also include experimental approaches to work and organizational psychology. Professorship (W2 salary level, with tenure W3) in “Experimental Psychopathology” A research focus on depression is particularly desirable although candidates with other research foci related to the research profile of the Institute are also invited to apply. The professorship, together with two other clinical psychology professorships at the Institute, will be responsible for teaching Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy in its entire breadth in the Bachelor program in Psychology and in the future Master program in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Professorship (W2 salary level, with tenure W3) in “Psychotherapy Research” A research focus in one or more of the following domains would be particularly desirable: randomised clinical trials or meta-analyses on psychological interventions or action mechanisms, psychotherapy process research, personalised psychotherapy. The professorship, together with two other clinical psychology professorships at the Institute, will be responsible for teaching Clinical psychology and Psychotherapy in its entire breadth in the Bachelor program in psychology and in the future Master program in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree and have an outstanding teaching and grant record as well as a Habilitation or equivalent qualification. The ability to teach in German is also a prerequisite. Applicants for the professorship in "Experimental Psychopathology" and the professorship in "Psychotherapy Research" must be licensed as psychotherapist or very advanced in their clinical training (in a psychotherapy approach that is approved in Germany). It is expected that applicants who are not yet licensed as psychotherapists must complete all requirements to obtain their license by September 2024 at the latest. Appointments will be made by the university according to the laws of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz Nds. GVBl. 5/2007, page 69). Applications from scientists from abroad are explicitly encouraged. The Institute emphasises the principles of open, transparent, and replicable research.
