Am Georg‐Elias‐Müller‐Institut für Psychologie der Fakultät für Biologie und Psychologie ist frühestens zum 01.04.2022 eine Professur zu besetzen. Das Institut hat eine starke naturwissenschaftliche Ausrichtung mit einem Fokus auf der Untersuchung von Kognition und Verhalten des Menschen. Dies spiegelt sich in der umfangreichen Beteiligung an institutsübergreifenden Forschungsverbünden wie dem Leibniz‐WissenschaftsCampus Primatenkognition, dem Promotionsstudiengang „Behavior and Cognition“ und unserer Zusammenarbeit mit Partnern des Göttingen Campus wie der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen und dem Deutschen Primatenzentrum wider.
In der Forschung sollten die Bewerber\*innen durch exzellente internationale Publikationen im Bereich Psychotherapieforschung sowie durch die Einwerbung einschlägiger kompetitiver Drittmittel ausgewiesen sein. Das Forschungsprofil sollte anschlussfähig sein an das überwiegend experimentelle, kognitionspsychologisch orientierte Profil des Instituts für Psychologie.
# W2‐Professur mit W3‐Tenure
„Psychotherapieforschung“
Besonders wünschenswert wären Forschungsschwerpunkte in den folgenden Bereichen: randomisiert‐kontrollierte Interventionsstudien und Meta‐analysen zu psychotherapeutischen Interventionen oder Wirkmechanismen, Psychotherapieprozessforschung, personalisierte Psychotherapie. In der Lehre vertritt die Professur, gemeinsam mit zwei weiteren klinisch‐psychologischen Professuren, das Fach der Klinischen Psychologie und Psychotherapie in seiner ganzen Breite im Bachelorstudiengang Psychologie und im zukünftigen Masterstudiengang Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie. Bei Vorliegen der Einstellungsvoraussetzungen erfolgt die Einstellung im Beam-
tenverhältnis auf Zeit (BesGr. W2 NBesO) mit Tenure Track (W3). Die Berufung
erfolgt zunächst für die Dauer von fünf Jahren (§ 28 NHG). Die Überleitung in
eine Lebenszeitprofessur ohne Ausschreibung (W3) erfolgt nach einer positiven
Evaluation.
Die Einstellungsvoraussetzungen ergeben sich aus § 25 des Niedersächsischen Hochschulgesetzes in der zurzeit geltenden Fassung. Bewerber\*innen, die an der Universität Göttingen promoviert haben, können in der Regel nur berücksichtigt werden, wenn sie nach der Promotion mindestens zwei Jahre außerhalb der Universität Göttingen wissenschaftlich tätig waren. Die Stiftungsuniversität Göttingen besitzt das Berufungsrecht. Einzelheiten werden auf Anfrage erläutert.
Weitere Einstellungsvoraussetzungen sind: Habilitation oder äquivalente Qualifikation in Forschung und Lehre sowie Approbation als Psychologische Psychotherapeutin/Psychologischer Psychotherapeut mit Fachkunde in einem wissenschaftlich geprüften und anerkannten psychotherapeutischen Verfahren oder eine sehr weit fortgeschrittene Psychotherapieausbildung. Von Bewerber/‐innen aus dem Ausland wird erwartet, dass sie spätestens bis September 2024 eine Approbation erlangen, indem sie gem. § 11 bzw. § 12 des Gesetzes zur Reform der Psychotherapeutenausbildung die Gleichwertigkeit ihrer Berufsqualifikation nachweisen oder diese durch einen entsprechenden Anpassungslehrgang oder eine Eignungsprüfung herbeiführen. Bewerbungen von Wissenschaftler\*innen aus dem Ausland sind ausdrücklich erwünscht. Das Institut legt Wert auf offene, transparente und replizierbare Forschung. Bewerber*innen werden gebeten darzulegen, wie sie diese Aspekte in Lehre und Forschung berücksichtigen wollen. The University of Göttingen invites applications for a professorships at the Georg-Elias-Müller-Institute for Psychology at the Faculty of Biology and Psychology from April 01, 2022 onwards. The Institute has a strong cognitive, natural science orientation, with a focus on the study of human cognition and behaviour. This is reflected in collaborative initiatives such as the Leibniz ScienceCampus “Primate Cognition”, the joint PhD program “Behaviour and Cognition” together with Göttingen Campus Institutes such as the University Medical Center Göttingen and the German Primate Center.
Applicants should demonstrate an excellent international publication record in the field of psychotherapy research and successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding. Applicants’ research profiles should be compatible with the predominantly experimental, cognitive psychology oriented profile of the Institute.
# Professorship (W2 salary level, with tenure W3) in “Psychotherapy Research”
A research focus in one or more of the following domains would be particularly desirable: randomised clinical trials or meta-analyses on psychological interventions or action mechanisms, psychotherapy process research, personalised psychotherapy. The professorship, together with two other clinical psychology professorships at the Institute, will be responsible for teaching Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy in its entire breadth in the Bachelor program in Psychology and in the future Master program in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. If the prerequisites for employment are met, the appointment will be made in the official temporary relationship (BesGr. W2 NBesO) with tenure track (W3). The calling
takes place initially for a period of five years (Section 28 NHG). The transition to
a lifetime professorship without an advertisement (W3) takes place after a positive evaluation.
The employment requirements result from § 25 of the Lower Saxony university law in the currently valid version. Applicants, who achieved their PhD at the university of
Göttingen, can only be taken into account, if, after completing their promotion, they have been scientifically active outside the University of Göttingen. The Foundation of the University of Göttingen owns the right of appeal. Details are provided upon request. Further employment requirements for the professorship „Experimental Psychopathology“: Applicants must be licensed as psychotherapist or very advanced in their clinical training (in a psychotherapy approach that is approved in Germany). It is expected that applicants who are not yet licensed as psychotherapist must complete all requirements to obtain their license by September 2024 at the latest. Appointments will be made by the university according to the laws of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz Nds. GVBl. 5/2007, page 69).
Applications of scientists from abroad are explicitly welcome. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree and have an outstanding teaching and grant record as well as a habilitation or equivalent qualification. The ability to teach in German is also a prerequisite. The institute emphasizes the principles of open, transparent and replicable research. Applicants should demonstrate how they want to implement these principles in teaching and research.
