Sriranjani Manivasagam

Sriranjani has a bachelor's degree in genetic engineering from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. She studied in-vitro neuronal cell cultures for her bachelor's thesis, which excited her about the brain and cognitive mechanisms. Further, she has a master's in cognitive science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, India. For her master's thesis, she investigated the role of audio-visual cues on object perception.

In December 2021, Sriranjani started her Ph.D. at the Affective Neuroscience and Psychophysiology Lab at the University of Göttingen in the Behavior and Cognition doctoral program.

 

Research Interests:

  • Emotion perception and processing in dyadic communication.
  • Neuro-cognitive mechanisms of audio-visual mechanisms in emotion communication.
